The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Microwave (1100 Watts) Cooking Instructions
- Remove the lid and flavor packet.
- Pour flavor packet contents into cup.
- Add Room Temperature water to fill line inside cup (about 2 1/2" above bottom of cup). Stir well.
- Microwave on Medium (60% power) for 2 1/2 minutes or until sauce comes to a rapid boil without boiling over. Microwave ovens vary; heating time and power may need to be adjusted. (Note: With most microwaves, you can adjust the power level by pressing the Power button several times until you see 60%). Stop microwave if product is overcooking.
- Remove from microwave, stir, cover tightly (e.g. with aluminum foil or a plate) and let stand 6 minutes or until rice and beans are tender and sauce thickens. Stir again and enjoy.
Boiling Water Instructions
Follow instructions above except add Boiling water to fill line and do not microwave. Let stand covered for 6 minutes until rice and beans are tender and sauce thickens. Stir again and enjoy.
Food/Soup should be cooked to 165ºF

I did not know instant food could taste this good! And I have been in the militarily and tasted a lot of instant food in the fields. Next time I will buy mor than one ;)
I liked the idea of the product: just add boiling water (or microwave it) and you're ready to eat. But I found it way too salty and it left me craving for more food and something sweet afterwards.
