I had never used Pumpernickel Meal before but it is wonderful! I made a German Rye recipe that was in my "Old World" Breads cookbook and specifically called for meal; since I had never found the product, I had never made the recipe but now it ranks in my top three rye breads. I also made the cracker recipe on the back of the bag and they have a fabulous rye flavor. I modified the recipe to use a higher temperature and longer baking time to produce the crisper cracker that I prefer and I made one batch with snipped fresh rosemary..DELICIOUS!
