Rewarded Review

I have been using this sunscreen for years. First the positives - it has a high content of zinc oxide. Zinc oxide, along with titanium dioxide are the only truly safe AND effective sunscreens. Zinc oxide has 20+ years of study and research data behind it. Because of the high zinc oxide content, this sunscreen also doubles as an effective pimple remedy. I put the sunscreen on pimples overnight and by the morning , they are either gone or greatly reduced. This sunscreen makes a great make-up primer that blocks harmful UV rays, read below. The sunscreen also doesn't have that many other additional ingredients and all of them I recognize, so no chemicals. Now the negatives - because of the high zinc oxide content, it goes on as a white paste and it will leave a noticeable white film on your skin. I have found a workaround for this issue. I mix this sunscreen and thin it out with another spf 30 sunscreen I have. Any lotion would theoretically work here, but it dilutes the spf. It still gives me a slight white-ish film but that doesn't bother me because I use it on my face only and it makes a great make-up primer. So I'm covering up the translucent white look with makeup anyway. It can separate into white paste and oil in the bottle. I knead the bottle and shake it up when I get it. I then squeeze some out into a small jar and mix with my other sunscreen. It's difficult to find an spf 50 sunscreen that does not contain harmful chemicals and sketchy other ingredients. Dr. Mercola's sunscreen is the cleanest I have found (and I've done alot of research) which is why I use it.
