Not so long ago we published a blog post for another Yunnan tea - The Tao of Tea, Yunnan Organic Tippy South Cloud. In March 2014, his elder brother Emperor's Gold appeared in the store. This is also black tea from the province of Yunnan, but judging by the number of gold flushes, it is much better (and exactly 2 times more expensive). In the photos in our blog (you can find by the tag Tea), a very big difference in the appearance of the leaves is clearly visible. As if it were two different sorts of tea. But the variety is actually one, but the type of leaves of the tea bush is different. Accordingly, the taste and aroma of tea differ significantly. Emperor's Gold has a brighter, delicate flavor. The taste is pleasant, without bitterness, slightly toning, with a slight tannic aftertaste. Against this background, the usual Yunnan tea is simple in all respects, but it is more firm when brewing, which means it will be better to cheer. The most important question is whether to overpay? I think that everything depends on the purpose of the purchase. For tea cervons or simply for a calm, measured tea-drinking, Emperor's Gold is definitely one, but for cookies, cakes, sandwiches or just to cheer up (and we do not drink coffee), a less expensive option will do. Brewing both options is recommended at a temperature of about 90 C. Especially it is necessary to say about a tin can. It has a double lid - under the main one there is another lid for sealing.
