Thorne Research, Pantethine, 60 Veggie Caps7 Reviews
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.
The Shipping Weight includes the product, protective packaging material and the actual shipping box. In addition, the Shipping Weight may be adjusted for the Dimensional Weight (e.g. length, width & height) of a package. It is important to note that certain types of products (e.g. glass containers, liquids, fragile, refrigerated or ice packed) will often require protective packaging material. As such, these products will reflect a higher Shipping Weight compared to the unprotected product.

Pantethine is the stable, metabolically active form of pantothenic acid, or vitamin B5. Pantethine is a vital component of coenzyme A, a cofactor for dozens of enzymatic reactions, including those involved with fat and carbohydrate metabolism. Clinical trials suggest that, because its biochemical configuration is closer to coenzyme A than pantothenic acid, pantethine may have more benefit than pantothenic acid. Pantethine appears to help metabolize fatty acids by activation of coenzyme A, promotion of carnitine transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, and subsequent intra-mitochondrial oxidation of fatty acids. All of these help improve energy production in every cell of the body.
Consequently, pantethine supplementation has been found to support good cardiovascular health. In addition, increases in beneficial HDL cholesterol and apolipoprotein A1 have been noted in association with pantethine supplementation. Apolipoprotein A1 is the major protein component of HDL and promotes cholesterol removal from tissues to the liver for excretion.
Pantethine is also considered the "anti-stress" vitamin because it supports healthy adrenal cortex function and hormone synthesis, particularly during times of stress. Pantothenic acid deficiency can result in adrenal atrophy, which is characterized by increased fatigue, sleep disturbances, nausea, and abdominal discomfort.

iHerb Customer Reviews
This is almost a great product except for the fact that it contains magnesium citrate laurate as one of the "other ingredients.". Any vitamin or mineral that includes the term "citrate" is a derivative of citric acid. Now you might think of citrus fruits when you hear of citric acid, fruits like lemons, oranges and limes. But citric acid is not made from citrus fruits. It is made from "aspergillus niger," otherwise known as "black mold." If you don't believe me, just google "citric acid industrial production" and you will see how it is made. It's not some nice mom in her kitchen squeezing lemons one at a time to make your citric acid - it's huge steel vats of black fungus. So any product that claims to contain citrate and to also be yeast free is not entirely truthful, especially if you're someone who is either sensitive to molds or has a less than perfect immune system. And if your immune system were perfect, you wouldn't be taking supplements in the first place. Unlike some reviewers, I don't care whether you click the Yes button or not. I'm not writing this to get your vote or your money. I'm writing it to help you avoid making the same mistake as me and to encourage Thorne, who usually make great products, to consider removing citrates.
This has been great for adrenal support and as always, iherb were easy to deal with.
