Great sleep aid & a surprise bonus!

Posted by 5371028106238168248 on Mar 16, 2017 | Verified Purchase

I take one tbsp of this magnesium before bedtime and, within a little over a half hour, it helps me relax and fall asleep quicker. Sometimes I take 2 tbsp which often seems most effective. It seems that if I take it too regularly, it loses some of it's effectiveness so I sometimes alternate it with GABA. The taste is sort of tart and it's a bit chalky but it's not bad at all. I just wash it down with some water. I recommended it to my mom when she was experiencing insomnia and she said it really helped with her Restless Leg Syndrome. It does tend to cause soft, loose bowel movements the next day (sorry if that's TMI), but that has actually been a bit of a blessing for me. Now that I'm in my forties, I'm not always so regular and magnesium seems to help with that problem (that's the surprise bonus).

I don't know about this...

It made me burp like crazy for 2 days. No matter what I ate or flavors I put in my mouth all I could burp and taste was this stuff. It didn't agree with me. Perhaps others mileage will vary.

This is one of my favorite calcium magnesium products. I don't take calcium every single day anymore, but I do take this when I want to get some extra calcium since it contains the right amount of magnesium to balance the calcium. IMPORTANT: Calcium alone can cause heart attacks and strokes. So I take D3, K2, extra magnesium and other minerals daily, as well. D3 helps you to absorb calcium and K2 helps the calcium get into your bones rather than into your arteries. Update: See my D3 review-it's better to get vitamin d from the sun 50 degrees and higher rather than from supplement form.
