Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

This is literally an answer to my protein prayer!
This is literally an answer to my protein prayer!
Even though I am a vegetarian who eats eggs and limited dairy (organic cottage cheese mostly) which I am trying to eliminate, I find it hard to get enough protein without adding too many calories and/or carbs to go along with it. I work out A LOT at the gym and my life is one big diet to stay slender. So, I've been searching for an extra protein I could add in without excess calories, fat, carbs.... THIS IS GREAT! I put off trying it for so long because I kept reading people say that the smell is awful and the taste is worse. That they can't mask the taste no matter what they do. It also seemed that all these people were trying to blend it into sweet things, like smoothies and such. I never even bothered to try and put this in something sweet! It's from a vegetable after all :) I have made it two ways so far. One, which is the easiest, is to mix it into soup. It thickens it, makes it more of a meal and I don't have much more in the way of calories. The second way, is that I made veggie burgers with it! It ups the protein content of the recipe and gives it much more substance. P.S. I don't really smell anything, let alone a foul smell. For me, this has been AWESOME and great post workout. I hope this helps someone who has my same issues :) (Great price for a HUGE size of protein powder of any kind!)
Plain, Pea Taste but Great!

Initial note: This protein is unflavored so don't expect it to taste like most other protein powders. (AKA: sweet!) The fist thing I noticed with this protein is how silky the powder is! It is malleable, dissolves easily, and smooth. I tried drinking it plain with just water, but it wasn't my thing. I mix it with savory flavors instead, like soups or as sprinkled over veggies/recipes that contained veggies. It thickens up soups nicely (depending on how much you use) to more of a chowder consistency and doesn't add a strange flavor if you pair it right. Again, as far a savory flavors go, that's where this works best I haven't tried to make a sweeter shake with it (with cocoa powder or fruits), but I plan to. For someone who needs to be lower carb but is lacking in protein, this is a great option! I've been able to stay in nutritional ketosis and get the extra 20g of protein for muscle building/retention by supplementing with 1/2 - 1 scoop daily. If you're still uncertain about the taste, perhaps go for a flavored option to try first.
Base for pea soup?

Good product. Pricey. I like this much better than the Vanilla Toffee. Instead of trying to make it like a dessert, it has a pleasant pea flavor that, mixed in hot water, is like pea soup, so I'm going to experiment with savory seasonings and make something delicious.
Good plant protein
