The big advantage this protein has is it's not gritty, like some other plant proteins. That said, it's lower in protein, and because it's chia, easily thickens liquid. The result is that beyond a certain amount, especially if you let it sit for a while or blend it longer, it turns shakes into a thick mass. The result is it can stop you up. Personally, i prefer not to use it as a protein as such, but as a supplement: you add a little bit, and it gives a nice, slightly thicker texture.

Has weird Jelly-like texture, but worked okay...

This was okay, it seemed to work okay for thickening substances like stew, works okay for smoothies...I just don't like the jelly-like texture to be honest. I know its an egg alternative so maybe thats why it is - it can be very jelly! I gave it four stars because it also made it taste a little different. In stews where you have spices you can't tell so much, but other things I would think so. Its also sort of grainy, but not too bad.
