The formula is thin, spreadable, and the scent is citrus. It is lightly moisturizing and works well to strengthen hair stands. If you have a sensitive scalp, be sure to patch test as there are many ingredients listed. If you have protein sensitive hair, I don't think this will be a problem to use. I would buy again to maintain hair and scalp composition, but if you have dry hair you may need a different product.
