Vet recommended, easy way to care for teeth!

My rescue chihuahua’s vet said I should stick to doggie dental products with the VOHC seal, as they’ve been clinically proven to actually work. Hamlet is 10 lbs, so he just gets one tiny little scoop of this in his breakfast each day. I also brush his teeth every night, and take him for non-anesthetic dental cleanings every 6 months. All that being said, anesthetic dental cleanings and teeth extractions are very expensive and so stressful. I know my dog can still have dental issues even with all that I’m doing, but I know I’m keeping his teeth clean and that he will absolutely have fewer issues than if I just left his teeth to get dirty. Taking care of your own teeth is so important, so it should be with your pets! You can check the VOHC website for a list of other effective products, I think this one is the easiest.

This has been a helpful product for us, and we've been using it in our dog's food for a couple years now. It's very easy to sprinkle on his food, and he has never seemed to mind the flavor. I would say it has slowed down, but definitely hasn't prevented, plaque formation. But since our dog refuses to let us brush his teeth without a fight, anything that helps is a big win. It has also helped with his doggy breath.
